Music has always been Arian’s deepest love.

As a toddler growing up in London, he would sit by the cassette player in his Grandparents' apartment, intoxicated by the sound of classical Persian tapes he would choose and put on, singing along (in toddler dialect) in a drunken (majnoon)  trance. At seven, after volunteering to perform at his Persian Saturday school, he began emergency piano lessons to prepare — sparking a connection to music that would never leave.

Throughout his teens, he continued piano and guitar on and off, building a foundation of musical understanding. At seventeen, a friend introduced him to music production, and he quickly became immersed. In his first week of university, he began teaching himself to DJ — and within weeks was playing in clubs in both London and York.

Soon after, he co-founded Drop, a UK underground bass music night in York dedicated to the sounds he loved: grime, garage, dub, and drum & bass. The night became a platform to bring pioneers of the scene to the north. Not long after, he launched Soul Candy, a pink, disco-themed wonderland party focused on joy, connection, and dancefloor magic. It became a beloved local institution almost overnight.

After university, music took a quieter role for a while — until a deeper calling emerged in his mid-twenties. Seeking something beyond performance, Arian began exploring music as a form of healing and reconnection. He picked up a setar — gifted years earlier by his cousin — and fell in love again with the sounds of Persian classical music. That love expanded into a wider rediscovery of the musical lineages of his ancestry: Persian, Azeri, Kurdish, Turkmen.

Since then, he’s devoted himself to the path of self-study, slowly teaching himself instruments like setar, kamancheh, dotar, handpan, daf, and more. He immersed himself in the rhythms, philosophies, and poetries of ancient traditions — and found ways to share them with the world.

Today, Arian’s work is a bridge between two worlds: meditative sound journeys performed with ancestral instruments, and emotionally rich electronic sets blending Persian sounds with deep bass music. What began as a childhood obsession has become a path of devotion — one rooted in reverence, joy, and the power of music to open the heart.
